Lady Gaga at The Mark Hotel: Evidence From Her June 2019 Stay

July 19, 2026

Lady Gaga used The Mark Hotel as accommodation during her late-June 2019 visit to New York. Harper's Bazaar Indonesia documented her leaving the exact hotel before her Apollo Theater performance and returning to her hotel that night. Hypebae independently identified Gaga as a previous guest of The Mark in its August 2019 New York hotel guide.

Celebrity Hotels classifies this as a verified stay with evidence grade B. The evidence supports accommodation around the June 2019 Apollo appearance. It does not establish an exact check-in or checkout, number of nights, room or suite, rate, payer, reservation terms, companions, or a later stay.

The same-day hotel sequence

Harper's Bazaar Indonesia published its report on June 27, 2019. The article says Gaga had spent several days in New York, identifies The Mark Hotel as the property she left before performing at the Apollo Theater, and describes her return to her hotel later that night.

That return sequence is important. A photograph of someone leaving a hotel can establish presence but not necessarily overnight accommodation: the person may have attended an event, visited a guest, eaten at a restaurant, or used a room only for preparation. Here, the report separately calls the property her hotel and documents her returning after the evening performance.

Independent guest reporting

Hypebae's August 9 guide is independent of the fashion report. In its section about The Mark, it identifies Lady Gaga among the hotel's previous guests. The guide also gives the property's address as 25 East 77th Street.

The two publications answer different parts of the evidence question. Harper's Bazaar supplies the dated departure-and-return sequence during a documented New York trip. Hypebae independently classifies Gaga as a guest of the same hotel. Neither source is treated as hotel confirmation, and repeated Hearst versions of the fashion story are not counted as additional independent publishers.

Exact hotel identity

The verified property is The Mark on Madison Avenue at 77th Street in Manhattan's Upper East Side. The hotel's official website gives that location and New York 10075 address. The existing Celebrity Hotels record uses the same coordinates and points to The Mark's Booking.com property page.

This is not The Mercer Hotel, The Carlyle across Madison Avenue, or another New York hotel used during a separate trip. The name, Upper East Side address, stored coordinates, and booking target all resolve to the same property.

The June 2019 context

Gaga performed at Harlem's Apollo Theater during the visit. The hotel evidence is used only to establish accommodation; the concert itself does not prove a stay. Likewise, later photographs from Pride events in New York are not used to extend the verified duration.

The wording therefore remains limited to late June 2019 rather than assigning a specific arrival, departure, or continuous block of occupied nights. A return after the concert supports hotel use that evening, but it does not reveal when a formal hotel day began or ended.

What the evidence does not establish

No reviewed source publishes a reservation confirmation, guest folio, room assignment, suite category, nightly price, bill, payer, or complimentary-stay disclosure. The evidence does not show who else may have used the accommodation or whether Gaga occupied the property on every night of the surrounding week.

The Mark is closely associated with Met Gala preparation, but using a hotel as a dressing location would not automatically establish sleeping accommodation. This verdict relies instead on the late-June departure-and-return report and the independent previous-guest identification.

Photographs remain with their publishers and creators. Celebrity Hotels links to the original reporting and has not copied the images.

Why this receives grade B

Grade B requires at least two independent reputable publishers and a direct basis. Harper's Bazaar provides recognizable visual reporting and a same-trip return to Gaga's identified hotel. Hypebae independently lists her as a previous guest. The Mark's official site resolves the exact property identity and address but does not make a celebrity claim.

Together, the sources support the narrow accommodation conclusion while leaving the room, duration, price, and booking arrangements unverified.

Evidence verdict

Verified: Lady Gaga stayed at The Mark Hotel during her late-June 2019 New York visit.

Relationship type: Stay.

Not verified: Exact arrival or departure, total nights, room or suite, rate, payer, booking terms, companions, or later stays.
