Gigi Hadid dined with Zayn Malik at The Bowery Hotel in New York in late 2015. GQ's 2018 profile records Malik's first-person account that he asked Hadid to dinner at the Bowery Hotel, while Hello's report on a separate ES magazine interview identifies the venue more precisely as Gemma, the hotel's restaurant.
Celebrity Hotels classifies this as verified dining with evidence grade B. The evidence establishes a meal at the exact hotel restaurant, but it does not establish an overnight stay or room use.
The first-person account in GQ
GQ interviewed Malik for its June 2018 cover profile. The profile says Malik and Hadid met at the end of 2015 and that, a few days later, he contacted her and asked her to dinner at The Bowery Hotel.
This directly identifies Hadid, the purpose of the visit and the exact hotel. It is not an anonymous sighting or an inference from her broader presence in New York.
The Gemma restaurant detail
Hello reported in November 2016 on a separate interview Malik gave to ES magazine. Its account says Malik chose dinner at Gemma, the restaurant in The Bowery Hotel, for the couple's first date.
The two reports originate from interviews published at different times. GQ independently records dinner at the hotel, while the earlier ES interview reported by Hello supplies the restaurant name. Together they support one late-2015 dining visit, not two separate occasions.
Which Bowery property?
The Bowery Hotel's official Gemma page identifies the restaurant as an Italian trattoria on the hotel's ground floor. The hotel's official contact page gives the property address as 335 Bowery, New York, NY 10003.
Those details align with the existing Celebrity Hotels entity, its New York coordinates and its Booking.com target for /hotel/us/the-bowery.html. The evidence concerns The Bowery Hotel, not The Bowery House, another similarly named property, and no sister-property, former-name, city or booking-target conflict was found.
Why this is dining, not a stay
A restaurant visit inside a hotel does not show that a diner booked a room. Neither interview says Hadid checked in, stayed overnight or occupied accommodation at The Bowery Hotel in connection with the first date.
No reviewed source publishes a reservation, room or suite, check-in, checkout, number of nights, rate, payer or booking channel. The exact supported relationship is therefore dining.
Evidence grade
Grade B requires direct evidence and at least two independent reputable publishers. GQ's profile records Malik's first-person account of asking Hadid to dinner at The Bowery Hotel. Hello's report on his separate ES interview independently identifies Gemma as the restaurant. The hotel's official pages resolve the restaurant and property identity.

Evidence verdict
Verified: Gigi Hadid dined at Gemma inside The Bowery Hotel with Zayn Malik on their first date in late 2015.
Relationship type: Dining.
Not verified: An exact calendar date, overnight stay, room, suite, reservation, check-in, checkout, total nights, rate, payer, booking channel or continuing hotel preference.
This is a new exact celebrity-hotel combination at the dining level. It is not added to the site's legacy stay mapping.
